Amplify your evening at the Sackler. Sneak a peek at stunning video and photography in Fiona Tan: Rise and Fall before it opens to the public. Meet special guests Zac Holtzman and Senon Williams from the Cambodian pop-rock band Dengue Fever. Then get creative with the Pink Line Project to the eclectic Asian grooves of DJs Yellow Fever.

Cash bars will offer specialty cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages throughout the evening, as well as food from area restaurants.

Ticket Policy

All ticket sales are final. No refunds or exchanges.

Asia After Dark tickets include one free drink. They can be purchased at the door from 6:30–9:30 pm the night of the event (limited number; cash-only) or on this webpage beginning one month prior. Up to five tickets can be ordered at a time online. Tickets purchased in advance will be available at the will-call table from 6:15–9:30 pm. All tickets in each order will be distributed together (not individually). Any member of the party can pick up tickets with the transaction number on the e-mail receipt. The person who placed the order can pick up tickets with either the e-mail receipt or a photo ID. A photo ID is required to enter the Galleries. There is no admittance after 9:30 pm.

Check-In

Check-in for the Freer Gallery of Art is on the National Mall side, located at Jefferson Drive and 12th Street, SW. The handicapped entrance is at the south side of the museum, on Independence Avenue. Check-in for the Arthur M. Sackler Gallery is located in the Enid A. Haupt Garden, at 1050 Independence Avenue.

Things to Know

  • No food or drink allowed in the galleries.
  • Must be at least 21 with a valid photo ID to attend.
  • All bags will be searched by security.
  • Personal items can be checked in designated coat rooms or lockers at your own discretion. The museum is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
  • The closest metro is the Smithsonian station.
  • Bar and food stations are cash only. A Chevy Chase Bank ATM is available inside the Smithsonian station, Independence Avenue entrance only.
  • All ticket sales are final. No admittance after 9:30 pm.
