About the SeriesThe Freer Gallery of Art Occasional Papers, new series, reprises the series initially launched in 1947 under the stewardship of the museum's director, A. G. Wenley. Intended for a specialist readership, this peer-reviewed series publishes research on Asian art from a variety of perspectives. The titles will range widely in subject and include monographs, conference proceedings, multi-author treatments of material or theme, and studies in conservation and scientific research. The new series presents a new, larger format, chiefly with black-and-white illustrations but with the possibility of color plates and the option to include supplementary materialsuch as images, tables, graphs, videoin a companion web publication.
